My name is Paul and my testimony is short but I need to share it. I grew up in church in Oakpark, Illinois, thanks to great parents. We moved to Georgia when I was seven years old. When I was about eight to ten years old I went to visit my Christian aunt in Kentucky. She took me to a small country church in a very small town. There I heard a preacher tell the wonderful news that I could be saved in a way that I could understand. I wanted to go down for the altar call but I was so scared. So I told my aunt and she went down with me and helped me with the sinner’s prayer.
After that my parents work got really busy and we stopped going to church as often. But thank God he always kept a desire in me to go and hear his word. I went to church from time to time but as I got into my teenage years I drifted away and really struggled through those years. We moved a lot and I always felt like I never fit in at school. So you can imagine I got into trouble a lot and I quit school at sixteen years old. But God never gave up on me and I met LeeAnn when I was nineteen. God truly sent her to me. She comes from a true Christian family and has been the best influence on me. We dated and I started going to Cherokee Baptist with her. We married in 1996 and I was baptized shortly after. I thank God that even when I stray He always welcomes me back.
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.
AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!! |
