Hi! My name is Carol. I grew up in a family that went to church every week. My mom was in charge of directing the Children’s Choirs and my dad was active on Church Council and teaching Sunday School. We participated in church activities all of the time.

The college I attended was a private Christian College in northern Minnesota. There we auditioned for Christian Outreach Teams that traveled on weekends to minister to churches and their communities. We gave our personal testimonies, stayed in homes with families and led worship services with voice, guitar and keyboard. We were at the forefront of the ‘Guitar Revolution’ in churches.

In the summers, there were only 2 teams sent to travel in a more widespread region. I was privileged to be one of the chosen few that God sent to sing in juvenile detention centers, state prisons, national parks, radio and television as well as the churches and their communities.

One of the scriptures that describes my spiritual journey is Matthew 13:19-23, the parable of the seeds and the sower. As I have been tested in jobs, health, child-bearing, marriage, family, finances and other things, I have heard the Word and used it to keep strong in the faith since childhood. The seed has not fallen on rocky ground and fallen away. It has not been choked out by the thorns of riches and worry. But, it has fallen on good ground where it continues to bear good fruit.
