Summary of Testimonies
My name is Jennifer. My testimony is partly that I am a child of divorce, which God hates (Malachi 2:16). This heart-rending circumstance in my life has not only affected me, but my husband, our children, my view of this dark ole world, which is not my home (Praise be to God!)
My name is Melissa. At 17 I had a very hard choice to make: To keep my baby or listen to doc’s who wanted me to have an abortion. I believed in life and wanted my child to live. I did not feel that I could take an innocent life.
My name is Joy. My parents divorced when I was three, and I went to live with my grandparents. My mom moved out of town, and I rarely saw either of my parents, although they were both given weekend visitation rights.
My name is Jerry W. I was going to a friend’s house when I got hit by a train. I looked down the track and saw nothing coming. At the time I didn’t realize that like Saul I had been blinded by God.
Hi, my name is Charlie. I grew up as one of eight kids in Birmingham, Alabama. I attended Catholic schools through high school and went to Mass every Sunday. During college I fell away from church somewhat and did not focus on God the way I needed to, but I believed that I was a Christian, because that is what the church told me.
Hi, my name is Chris. My family & I live in East Tennessee. I thank the Lord every day for what He has done for me. I was an alcoholic for as long as I can remember. While my wife and son was in church, I was always drunk or passed out somewhere
Hello, my name is Sonda. I live in East Tennessee with my family. When I was 16 I got saved. I can not explain the feeling. Shortly after I ventured back into worldliness. I was in and out of church for a long time
My name is Scott. I received Jesus as my Savior when I was 10 years old. My main motivation was for fire insurance – I did not want to go to Hell. I lived in fear knowing I was going to hell unless I made this change.
My name is David. I am 26 years old from Savannah, TN. I am a United Pentecostal preacher. I have lived for God all my life and have known no other way of life.
My name is Doug. I was not born or raised in a Christian home. My family did seek to faithfully attend our family church, where I was baptized as a baby and confirmed into membership of the church. These rituals made me, I was told, “a good Christian boy.”
My name is Lucille. I live in Michigan. I am out of a family of 12 children. My parents didn’t teach us children about salvation or being born again. They were good moral parents.
I’m Bethany. I’m 15 years old and I go to a Christian school. I love Christian music and books, and I love peace and quiet. I got the title "Christian" in seventh grade at a revival at my church...but nothing really changed.
My name is Brittany. Well, um, I’ve only ever given my testimony one other time. I’ve been raised in a Christian home, and my dad is a youth minister. I went through really rebellious years in middle school...

Hello, my name is Carol. I am a true believer. I was an accountant, but I have been disabled for 4 years. My name is Greg. I am 47 years old. I have been married for 31 years, father of two grandfather of one. I am a guitarist, guitar teacher, retired photographer.
My name is Arthur. As an electrician seeking to support a wife and two children, I was often required to repair electrical problems caused by natural or man-made accidents. Making repairs sometimes called for handling 'live' wires carrying high voltages that could seriously injure or even cause death.
My name is Terri and my testimony is always hard to give because I'm uncomfortable talking about it. I was brought up in a modest home with loving parents. Every Sunday we would go to CCD (Sunday School) followed by church followed by a trip to Dunkin Donuts.
My name is Al. I am afraid my testimony is not as exciting as perhaps some other folks might be. I have been in church now for 53 years. I am what they used to call a cradle roll to the grave Baptist. I guess if you could give a title to my testimony it would be 'Religious but Lost'.
Hi! My name is Carol. I grew up in a family that went to church every week. My mom was in charge of directing the Children's Choirs and my dad was active on Church Council and teaching Sunday School. We participated in church activities all of the time.
My name is Loretta. When I was 8 years old my family decided to go to a Friday night revival service at the Macedonia Baptist Church. I invited Jesus into my heart that night and I remember many of the details. The sermon was about being on God's side and that was what I wanted. I could not wait for the sermon to be over so I could be saved.
My name is Karan. I was 12 years old and attending Vacation Bible School, when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Never had I experienced such peace and contentment! Since our church did not have a baptismal, all baptisms were held in a neighbor's pond.
My name is Cliff. I went to the altar about the age of 13. Asked Jesus into my heart about the same time I started playing guitar. For the next 28 years I called on God only when I needed Him, a 'bungee chord' Christian, if you will.
My name is Betty. I grew up in an abusive, antagonistic home therefore I learned chaos, anger, frustration and to hate myself, believing I was despicable. I didn't get much fatherly attention so I learned to use obnoxious and shocking behavior to get it, fearing nothing and no one.
My name is Joel. Ever since I was small, I've seen the God at work in my life. The first time I saw God's hand at work was a month before God saved me. It was Christmas and our family had no money, not even for food.
My name is Keith. I'm a 'preacher's kid.' I was born in Georgia while my parents were attending Mercer University. Before I could remember living there, we moved to Hartwell, Georgia. After my sister was born we moved to Hiawassee, Georgia, where my Dad was pastor of a Baptist church.
My name is Marie. I was raised in a Christian home, with parents who loved the Lord and always took me to church.
Hi everyone. My name is Lindsey, I'm 13 years. I was born in March on a Tuesday and was in church the next Sunday. So as you can tell I was raised in church. I grew up with my mom taking me and my sisters to church. My father never attended church but he always let us go. (Thank God for that!)
My name is Sarah. In 1933 I was eleven years old and during revival services at a local Methodist church I was convicted and gloriously saved.
My name is Judy. I was born in 1949 as a one and a half pound 'preemie'. My life began as a healing and God has healed me of many sicknesses and will do the same for you.
My name is Brian. Since I can remember I have always believed in God and always knew that he was there. My grandmother used to take my brother and I to church when we would visit on weekends. That was really the first and only exposure that I had until I was much older. When I was a junior in high school I went to a Catholic school for one year.
My name is Ruby, I was brought up in a home where my Mom and Dad knew the Lord and knew much of the scripture, but it was never family discussion; therefore I never knew the Lord until I was 23 years of age.
My name is Althea. Growing up there wasn't a lot of emphasis placed on church. My Mama was a good woman and did have a strong faith, but she didn't stress the need for fellowship. I realized as I got older a lot of that was because of my Daddy.
My name is Richard and I'm originally from West Tennessee, but I have been in the Atlanta area now for twenty years. I am 48 years old, a single parent and handicapped. Since accepting Jesus as my savior, I have been unjustly fired from my job, had to un-adopt a violent son, had my right hip removed which put me in a wheelchair, had a liver transplant, lived on oxygen for three years, had a cardiac pacemaker implanted, declared bankruptcy, and my wife left me for another man. I thank God in all things.
My name is Missy and as far back as I remember I knew who Jesus was - my family went to church every Sunday, we participated in church activities and my Grandfather was the preacher at the little Baptist church that we attended. There was never a question about whether or not I 'believed' in Jesus. I was baptized at the age of 9 years old and things went on as they were until I was about 13 years old.
My name is Mitzi and I accepted Christ as my personal savior when I was 13 years of age. I have been through many trials in my life, including a divorce after 26 years of marriage.
Hi, I am Randy. I was born July 20th, 1967. My father was an Atlanta police officer killed in the line of duty Oct. 26th 1968, at the age of 23. My name is Mary Jo. When I was about 8 years old, I began to know that Jesus was calling me to accept Him as my personal savior. At that time, Dr. Robert G. Lee was my pastor. Twice a year he would present a special program with posters in the Children's Sunday School Department and again in Vacation Bible School.
Hi, my name is Marsha. God has always been REAL to me. Even as a child I can remember being outside lying on the ground looking up into the endless sky and having conversations with Him. This scenario has been repeated many, many times over my life.
My name is Anita and I have been an adopted child of God since February 3, 1991. I once heard someone describe an adoption to a child. They said that an adopted child was specially chosen to be in a family. The phrase 'specially chosen' spoke to me. I was born to be in a worldly family but I was chosen to be in God's family.
Hi, I am Tammy. My Christian Life continues to be in steps, some small and some big.
My name is Paul and my testimony is short but I need to share it. I grew up in church in Oakpark, Illinois, thanks to great parents. We moved to Georgia when I was seven years old. When I was about eight to ten years old I went to visit my Christian aunt in Kentucky. She took me to a small country church in a very small town.
My name is Martha. My testimony is not a blinding conversion experience like Paul's, but it was an eye opener and an experience that changed my life forever.

My Name is Curtis. I did not grow up in a Christian home. I attended Vacation Bible School and preschool at 1st Baptist in Tucker, GA, so I had enough exposure to church to feel comfortable about returning later in life. My father was never around growing up.
My name is Buddy and I was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. My parents divorced when I was about 1-1/2 years old. My earliest memories of church revolved around my grandparents and great-aunt. My grandparents went to church every Sunday and when I stayed with them I did too.
Hi, I am Austin. I was born in the small cotton mill town of LaGrange, Georgia where my parent's would take me to Sunday School and Church every Sunday. We moved to Atlanta in the early 50's and my parents divorced in the late 50's which was very devastating for me.

Hi, my name is Matthew. I am 31 and live in Mableton,Ga. I have 2 beautiful daughters, and enjoy writing poetry. My testimony goes way back to when I was 5. No, I wasn't saved spiritually at 5, but had a change of life event happen to me back then that I believe helped in my commitment to God.

My name is Karen. My parents took me to a Billy Graham revival when I was around eleven. I wasn't even listening to the sermon, so I was quite surprised when I started feeling uneasy during the invitation. As the choir sung 'Just As I Am,' I started thinking about what the words really meant;
My name is Micheal. I was raised in the Catholic Church. As I began high school, I rebelled against my parents. I also rebelled against God.

My name is Whitney and I am a sophomore in high school. I used to think that my testimony was boring, that it really wasn't important. I had never faced anything very difficult or been brought back from anything very bad. Today I understand the power and value of that testimony, that someone has withstood temptation and never faced trials, and I wish I could get it back, but I know that God has a plan and a use for me, and I know that I am stronger for all that I have gone through.
Greetings, My name is Debbie. I grew up occasionally attending church and going to Vacation Bible School. I believed in God, even to the point of going forward and being baptized during one of the V.B.S. events I attended. But I still didn't have a relationship with Christ, only a church membership.
My name is Rick. I want to share a wonderful experience that happened to me a couple of week ago. But first a little about myself.
My name is James. Most people call me Jim. I was fortunate. I was born into a Christian home where the Bible was read and taught, where we all attended church regularly, and where high standards of morality, responsibility, and industry were maintained.
My name is Elya. Somewhere along the way I had gotten confused; I thought that a GOOD testimony was one that involved drugs, alcohol, abuse, etc, and a 180 degree turn-around to the Christian life. I found myself wondering if my testimony was even worth hearing. Then one day God helped me figure things out; someone with what I thought was a 'good testimony' came up to me and said, 'Elya! How can you think your testimony's not cool? I'd give ANYTHING to have lived as a Christian my entire life!'
My name is Miranda. Growing up in the South has a way of convincing you that everything is 'peachy-keen.' Life rolled along at a super-relaxed pace and the only thing that ever seemed to be out of place was to openly admit that you were not satisfied with all that life had given you

My name is Caspar McCloud. Some years ago I was involved with Broadway, playing the part of the John Lennon in Beatlemania, and also recording as a solo artist for Atlantic Records. With my career going the way it was, a lot of people would think I was in the midst of fulfilling the American dream, but in actuality, it was a very stressful time in my life. My mother had died from cancer and then my father was murdered shortly thereafter. Little did I know that it would all take its toll on me some years later.
My name is Larry. I was born in and raised in rural West Tennessee. I became a member of the church at the age of 10.
My name is Mary, and I hope that if you're reading this, you're interested in how other folks have come to know Christ as their Savior. My story is far from pretty, but it's the truth. I'd like to think that my testimony parallels the song 'Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me.'
My name is Jay D. At one point in my life, I was very far away from the Lord, even though I had given my life to Him at a young age. Like many people, I misunderstood who God was, and it was difficult for me to separate God from Religion

My name is Angie. I live in Tennessee with my wonderful husband of 14 years and my 2 beautiful daughters. I am finishing up a computer science degree and work as a part-time computer tech on the campus of my school.
My name is Ted W. I was born in the sunny town of Corpus Christi, Texas in 1952. I was three months premature, and the little Methodist Church my parents attended prayed me through. My name, Theodore, means 'Gift of God', and I think that is because I survived being born at 3 and 1/2 pounds.
Blessings! My name is MaryAnn. I live in Valdosta,Ga. I have been married for 19 years. I have 3 grown sons and 2 grandchildren. One who lives with me,she is six years old. Until she came to stay, my husband and I had a jewelry business. I am now a stay at home grandma.
My name is Austin. I grew up in the church. Every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and even sometimes Wednesday, my family and I were there. Going to church was as normal as getting up in the morning. I sang in the church youth choir, attended youth retreats, and also was baptized at age twelve. If someone had the nerve to ask me if I was a Christian I would say, 'Of course! I go to church every Sunday'.

My name is Scott. I am 36 years old. I am a Deputy Sheriff and my wife and I have two daughters. I was raised Methodist, my Dad was a Methodist pastor.
My name is Barry. For years I had gone dutifully to Sunday school and listened to my mother talk about God and how He loved us. That sounded right to me until I was 16 and my step-dad, a man I loved a lot, caught malaria overseas while flying for an international airline. I prayed and asked the Lord to let him live, but he died. His death hit me hard, really hard, and I decided that if God allowed such terrible things to happen, then I wasn't going to have anything more to do with Him.
My name is Lindsay. I am 19 years old. I attend a local university; currently majoring in Early Childhood Education. All of my life my family has moved around. I am not saying that this was a bad thing. Of course, being young I didn't want to move, but looking back on this now I realize how many amazing people that I never would have had the chance to meet if we hadn't moved around.

We struggled financially as my wife and I raised our little family while learning to be adults, parents and partners.
Hello, my name is Steve Nelson. I live in Atlanta, Ga, USA. I am a Christian Bible teacher and have a wife, two sons and five daughters. Before following Christ I knew there was a God who made this world, but I did not know Him personally. I thought I was a Christian because I attended church and tried to do the right things. I realized I needed a change because I could not stop being selfish (sinning) in my own power. I was disobedient to my parents, immoral in my thoughts and actions, and unkind in my words toward others.
My name is Leah W. and I am 14 years old. At first I was not going to write my testimony on here because I thought it was not important, and then I realized that they are ALL important. Ever since I was little, I have been brought up in a Christian family, I got saved and baptized when I was nine. So I pretty much grew up in perfect surroundings as far as that goes.

My name is Juan. I grew up as a nominal catholic but never went to church. I was thinking, God is far away and so busy for me.
Hi, my name is Mike. I am 56 years old. I have a wonderful wife that I have had for almost 38 years. I have a son that is 28 and two wonderful granddaughters. I was brought up in the church. My father was an old time Baptist preacher. I was required to be at church every time the doors were open. I truly burned out on God and church. I accepted Christ at the age of ten in my dog house out behind our house.
My name is Margaret. I was blessed to be born into a Christian family and was baptized in the Methodist Church at the age of nine months. I trusted in Christ as my Lord and Savior and felt the assurance of His Presence in my life.

My name is James. I was born into a Christian family... my mother was a Baptist and my father was a Methodist. We went to church most of the time, but as my sister and I got older, we weren't really into it. We complained and drug our feet until we stopped going as often until we practically stopped going at all.
My name is Tracie. I accepted Christ into my heart when I was eight years old. I knew that He loved me so much that He died for me and that by believing in Him and trusting His promises I would be saved and go to heaven. As I grew, I continued to be strong in my faith of salvation, but learning to live a Christ-like life became harder and harder.
My name is Randy. God is so good. As an early teenager, His conviction hit me very hard. I was saved in my teen years, but had no teaching of what it means to be a Christian. The small Baptist church I grew up in just was not a growing church. As a result, in my early twenties I slid back into what the world would have me do. College and friends influenced me to do things that I should not have done.
My name is Jerry. God has given me more than 40 years on his earth so far. I am married to a wonderful woman that I do not deserve, but am thankful for.
